Last Day of Clinicals for 1st semester!
So, clearly i have not been keeping up with my picture blog, but, semester is almost over, and I am going to have some time to relax this summer. I figured this would be a good time to start back up. This is my clinical group. Ahjile (who is now 8 months pregnant), Kim (who is kind of a germophobe), Nick (who almost fainted the first time he gave a bed bath), John (who is positive no matter what), Prachi (bedbath queen), Sally (our mama) Mrs. Wright (RN, MSN, and the best support ever), and me. We cleaned a lot of messes, touched some people's lives, and grew so much. These are amazing people.

It's Coming.....
I have wanted to be a nurse since i was little...i truly think it's God's calling for my life. I want to take it around the world on missions trips, and i feel like my heart is in Central and South America...when i started school, i felt like I would never get here, there were so many challenges...but God has a reason for each one of them, and now, on January 25th, I will officially be starting the nursing program :)

This is the girl I just started sponsoring. Her name is Eunice, she's 10 years old, and she's beautiful. Now, Honestly, I've never had a heart for Africa...but I have a heart for children, a heart for her. God is protecting her and providing for her in miraculous ways, and He has an amazing plan for her life :)

House of God Forever ~Jon Foreman
God is my shepherd
I won't be wanting
I won't be wanting
He makes me rest
In fields of green
Like quiet streams
Even while I'm walking
Through the valley
Of death and dying
I will not fear
'Cause you are with me
You're always with me
Your shepherd staff
Comforts me
You are my feast
In the presence of enemy
Surely goodness
Follow me
Follow me
In the house of God, forever
In the house of God, forever
In the house of God, forever

Good Morning!
So, I work at starbucks, and one of the, um, benefits of that is that I get to wake up pretty early. This morning I was running out to my car, and i just stopped in my tracks...the sunrise had transformed the morning sky...oranges, blues, purples, this picture doesn't even do it justice....what a sweet way to begin a day...God is good

The Called
So today i went to a missions conference with my amazing friend Shyra Caligiuri. I have never seen so many missionaries togetehr in one place. It was incredible. At one point in worship, the lyrics were "Lord, where you call I will go..." and I was overwhelmed with the thought that every person in that sanctuary had answered God's call, and were living His will...everyone was liked minded, and it was an incredible thing to experience.
The girl on the left is Aubrey, and we met her at dinner. She has a heart for kids, and a desire to go to Africa, specifically Zambia...I don't know if I will ever see her again, but i know when we meet in heaven, we will give eachother a huge hug and i will ask her all about how God used her in Africa.
Oh taste and see...

New year, new books!
The World to Come by Dara Horn
A million dollar Chagall is stolen from a museum during a singles' cocktail hour. The unlikely theif, former child prodigy Benjamin Ziskind, is convinced that the painting once hung in his parents' living room. This work of art opens a door through which we discover his family's startling history-from an orphanage in Soviet Russia where Chagall taught to suburban New Jersey and the jungles of Vietnam.
I love love love reading. Fiction especially. When I'm engrossed in a good book, there is nothing else around me, no one talking to me, no background noise, just me and an incredible story. I love reading stories about the past, and i love reading stories that take place in other cultures...soooo captivating. The World to Come is the first novel for 2010, and I cannot wait to find out what this story will teach me.
